Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao could be heading towards a sensational rematch, over a decade on from their first encounter.

The modern day greats finally locked horns in ‘The Fight Of The Century’ at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas back in May of 2015, a bout that had been years in the making.

Whilst there had been a great deal of hype surrounding their monumental showdown, the fight itself failed to live up to the expectations that had been set prior as Mayweather cruised to a comprehensive points victory to unify the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles.

Reports have now began to circulate about the legendary duo being on the verge of finalising a deal to face each other once again, and Mayweather has made a shock claim about the credentials of his former rival.

Speaking on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game Podcast, the five-weight world champion made no mistake in naming Pacquiao as the best fighter that he ever shared a ring with.

“The best fighter I ever fought probably was Manny Pacquiao.

It’s because of his movement. He’s a hell of a fighter, and I can see why he won so many fights, and I can see why he’s going down as a Hall of Famer. It’s just certain moves he makes.”

Pacquiao made a shock comeback to the sport back in the summer when he fought to a draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, his first ring appearance as a professional in just under four years.

Mayweather announced his retirement from the sport shortly after his crossover bout with former UFC champion Conor McGregor in August of 2017, although he has participated in a handful of exhibition bouts since then, and could be set to lace up the gloves again to face Pacquiao.
