It’s been an entire decade since Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao locked horns in the ‘Fight Of The Century.’

After years of rumours and speculation, Mayweather and Pacquiao finally went toe-to-toe on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Despite the hype surrounding their long-awaited showdown, the fight itself failed to live up to its expectations and seemingly disappointed fans and pundits alike.

Mayweather was declared the winner via unanimous decision to unify the WBC, WBA and WBO world welterweight titles, putting an end to years of back-and-forth between the modern pound-for-pound greats.

It was announced earlier this month that after four years out of the ring, Pacquiao would be making a sensational return to the sport at 46 to challenge Mario Barrios for the WBC world welterweight title on July 19.

Speaking on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, ‘Money’ Mayweather didn’t hesitate to name Pacquiao as the greatest opponent he ever faced, claiming the Filipino icon was a ‘hell of a fighter’.

“The best fighter I ever fought probably was Manny Pacquiao.

It’s because of his movement. He’s a hell of a fighter, and I can see why he won so many fights, and I can see why he’s going down as a Hall of Famer. It’s just certain moves he makes.”

‘Pac-Man’ could write his name into boxing history once again in July as he bids to become the oldest welterweight champion in boxing history, breaking the record that he actually set himself back in 2019 when he defeated Keith Thurman to capture the WBA welterweight crown when he was 40-years-old.
