Jake Paul still wants a showdown with Canelo Alvarez.
The Youtuber-turned-boxer recently picked up a win over boxing legend Mike Tyson in a fight that caused controversy throughout the sport.
Tyson hadn’t fought professionally since way back in 2005, and at 58-years-old was unable to show any signs of the Tyson of old that was ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet.’
It saw Paul take his professional record to 11-1, with the majority of his victories coming against MMA fighters that had made the switch to boxing.
The first time Paul fought a professional boxer, he suffered a split decision loss to Tommy Fury, but that hasn’t stopped ‘The Problem Child’ continuing to chase a bout against pound-for-pound superstar Canelo.
Canelo is the current unified super-middleweight champion, having also reigned at super-welterweight, middleweight and light heavyweight, and most boxing fans believe it would be an extremely one-sided affair in his favour should he meet Paul.
One boxing legend that shares that view is Floyd Mayweather, who needed just three words to sum up how Paul would do against Canelo.
“He’d get demolished.”
Mayweather than explained how he thinks ‘The Problem Child’ would do against any established professional boxer.
“As long as he continues to fight MMA guys and Youtubers, he’s going to continue to look good and shine, but once he fights a real fighter that can really fight, it’s not going to be that good. He’d get f**ked up by Canelo.”
While Paul may want Canelo, another world champion with a 95% knockout ratio has recently offered the 27-year-old a title shot.
