Floyd Mayweather has shared his thoughts on a potential showdown with Jake Paul.
Mayweather ended his professional boxing career back in 2017, shortly after he won his 50th and final contest against MMA fighter Conor McGregor.
Throughout his glittering tenure, ‘Money’ won 15 championships across five weight divisions, racking up impressive victories against the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and Juan Manuel Marquez.
After drawing the curtain on his professional career, the 48-year-old has since moved into the exhibition side of the sport where he has had a handful of bouts, facing the likes of Logan Paul and Tenshin Nasukawa.
Jake Paul has made no secret that he would like to face Mayweather. He is currently readying an announcement for his next high-profile event following a controversial bout against Mike Tyson last November.
Whilst appearing on The Tonight Show, Mayweather was asked to give his reaction to the attention the Tyson fight garnered, saying that it was a different metric because it was available as part of a standard Netflix subscription.
“Well basically, when you’re watching boxing for free you can have hundreds of millions of views, but when you are watching Floyd Mayweather, you have to pay. I did pay-per-view numbers, check the record.”
‘Money’ then needed just two words to respond when asked if he would be interested in a fight against ‘The Problem Child’: too easy.
“Too easy. At 48, too easy.”
Paul is expected to announce his next opponent in the coming weeks after a fight with Canelo fell through.
