Jake Paul faces arguably the toughest test of his boxing career so far when he takes on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr this weekend.

The pair will meet at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on Saturday, as Paul looks to take the next step in his ambitious dream of becoming world champion.

‘The Problem Child’ was last in action in November when he defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson in a controversial bout, due to Tyson now being 58-years-old and having not competed professionally for nearly two decades.

Boxing fans will be hoping it will be a much more competitive affair when Paul faces former WBC middleweight champion Chavez Jr, although that reign ended back in 2012 and the Mexican has failed to ever return to those heights since then.

Still on paper it remains a decent test for Paul, who has spent the majority of his boxing career taking on former MMA fighters, including the likes of Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley.

Another former MMA fighter that ‘The Problem Child’ took on is Mike Perry, with Paul winning by sixth round stoppage in Florida last July.

Having shared the ring with Paul, Perry has given his prediction for this weekend’s bout, admitting to Clocked n Loaded that he is siding with his former foe.

“That’d be interesting if Jake can beat a guy with such experience. He’s very confident and I think he might do it.”

While Perry is backing ‘The Problem Child’ to be victorious, boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya believes that Chavez Jr has what it takes to come out on top.
