Mike Tyson Names The ‘Underrated’ World Champion Who Will Beat Everyone: “It’s A Fact”

Mike Tyson was the most ferocious fighter on the planet during his prime.

The American heavyweight icon made his professional debut back in 1985 and very quickly established himself as a household name, with his first 19 victories coming via stoppage, which including no less than 12 first round knockout wins.

His crowning moment came just 18-months into his career when he blasted out WBC heavyweight champion Trevor Berbick inside two rounds, where he broke the record of becoming the youngest heavyweight champion ever.

After a rollercoaster professional career, which finally came to an end last November when he was defeated by Jake Paul in Texas, Tyson has kept a watchful eye over some of the biggest names in the sport right now. One of these fighters is David Benavidez, who was recently crowned as WBC light-heavyweight champion.

Speaking to ESNEWS, ‘Iron’ Mike made no mistake in backing the ‘underrated’ Benavidez against all-comers, admitting even he would be afraid to fight the man they call ‘The Monster’.

“I like him against everybody.

He’s so underrated but so over-polarised here. Listen, I’d be afraid to fight him too if I was in that division. No one even has a chance against him, and I’m talking facts.”

After former undisputed light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol vacated his WBC crown at 175lbs, ‘The Monster’ was declared WBC champion having held the ‘Interim’ title since last year. The 28-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona has been backed for greatness at light-heavyweight and beyond, with the maiden defence of his WBC light-heavyweight title expected to take place in the coming months.
