Mike Tyson made a sensational return to the ring against Jake Paul last November.

The 59-year-old retired heavyweight great clashed with ‘The Problem Child’ at the AT&T Stadium in Texas last November in what was his first ring appearance as a professional in just shy of two decades.

Tyson was beaten via unanimous decision at the conclusion of their controversial eight round showdown, which many fans and pundits believe should not have gone ahead given Paul was over 30 years Tyson’s junior on fight night.

Paul made his return to the ring at the end of last month, defeating Mexico’s former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on points at the Honda Center in Anaheim on June 28.

Speaking ahead of his comeback bout against Paul, ‘Iron Mike’ was asked if he believes the 28-year-old could go on to become a legitimate world champion in the future, as he claims Paul can because he has ‘improved a lot’ over the years.

“Let me just be honest, he’s improved a lot – yes.”

After his victory over Chavez, Paul was added into the WBA’s latest cruiserweight world rankings, going in at number 14 ahead of hard-hitting American contender Craig Parker.

Paul has now turned his attention to a potential bout against either WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion Gilberto Ramirez, or WBC cruiserweight champion Badou Jack, after he made call-outs to both fighters just moments after he was declared the winner over Chavez.

‘The Problem Child’ has also expressed an interest in facing two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, although it remains to be seen whether this bout will come to fruition in the near future.
