Mike Tyson has made his thoughts about Jake Paul perfectly clear.
Tyson faces Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, and it will be the first ever live boxing event broadcast on Netflix.
There have been a lot of issues raised about the fight, mostly due to Tyson now being 58-years-old and not having had a professional bout for over 20 years, while Paul is just 27 and has been extremely active over the past four years, now holding a record of 10-1.
The concerns from some grew even bigger when the fight had to be postponed from its original date, having first been scheduled to have taken place in July before Tyson had to pull out due to an ulcer flare up after a medical incident on a flight.
‘Iron Mike’ has done his best to dispel those fears though, with recent sparring footage showing that he still carries ferocious power, dropping his sparring partner with a shot during one session and busting the lip of his trainer in another.
Ahead of the fight, Tyson has been speaking to talkSPORT, and had five words to describe Paul’s ability.
“He’s a good little fighter.”
‘Iron Mike’ then revealed why he is so confident for the upcoming bout.
“He’s only had 10 fights, that’s considered an amateur in our field. He’ll be running around. I have to catch him and slaughter him.
“He’s stepping into the ring. If my mother steps into the ring she has a problem with me. Whoever is in the ring has a problem. Don’t go in the ring if you don’t want that problem.”
With the fight now just days away, the last man to face Paul inside a ring has revealed just how hard the Youtuber-turned-boxer hits.
