Mike Tyson Has Absolutely No Doubt Who Wins Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano Rematch

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are set to run it back after delivering what can be considered the greatest female fight of all time.

The first fight between the pair was a historic clash for women’s boxing, taking place on April 30, 2022, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was the first women’s boxing match to headline the iconic venue and the action matched the hype.

It was a thrilling back-and-forth affair with both having their moments. Serrano, known for her heavy hands, hurt Taylor in the fifth, but Ireland’s pride bit down on her gumshield and fought back twice as hard.

Taylor’s grit and skills during that late rally ultimately won a split decision to retain her undisputed lightweight crown. Some felt Serrano did enough to get her hand raised, but the contest was close enough that there was little controversy surrounding the result.

What it did demand was a rematch, and two years on the fighters are set to deliver at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s return to the ring against Jake Paul.

Tyson and Taylor share a mutual respect, and that showed when he made his prediction at a pre-fight press conference, having little doubt that ‘KT’ will win in style.

“Katie’s gonna beat her motherf***ing ass!”

The rematch takes place one division up and is for Taylor’s four super-lightweight belts. Since the first encounter, the champion suffered her first loss to Chantelle Cameron but won the belts in their return affair.

Puerto Rico’s Serrano dropped back down to featherweight to become undisputed there and has picked up a string of five wins, all decisions bar one. She made history in 2023 by fighting a championship fight over twelve rounds rather than the standard ten for the female side of the sport.
