It is fair to say that Mike Tyson never feared any man during his storied heavyweight career.
He remains the youngest ever world heavyweight champion having picked up a belt aged just 20. He defended it many times over and reigned as the three-belt undisputed champion from 1987 to 1990.
‘Iron Mike’ took on plenty of big names in his career from Evander Holyfield to Lennox Lewis and Michael Spinks to Larry Holmes.
The American YouTuber turned boxer has had 11 fights and lost just one. Although he has secured plenty of his own knockout wins, he lacks the experience of Tyson but that hasn’t stopped many people worrying about the outcome of the fight, which will be shown on Netflix live from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Tyson has shown no fear in taking on the younger man, but when speaking to ESNEWS, he did admit even he would be ‘afraid’ to face one current fighter – the ‘Mexican Monster’ David Benavidez.
“He’s so underrated but so over-polarised here. Listen, I’d be afraid to fight him too if I was in that division. No one even has a chance against him, and I’m talking facts.”
Benavidez has a famously high work rate and has stopped 24 of his 29 opponents. His last fight was a win up at light-heavyweight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk but the fight he really wants is with super-middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez who is yet to acquiesce and is currently scheduled to defend his titles against Edgar Berlanga this month.
