Mike Tyson has given his verdict after sharing the ring with Jake Paul.

The two men did battle at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday, in what was the first ever live boxing event broadcast on Netflix.

It was a fight that was nearly one year in the making, after initially being announced back in March and was due to originally be held in July, before an ulcer flare-up for Tyson forced the bout to be postponed.

It finally took place over the weekend, but wasn’t a fight that many fans will be rushing to watch again, with ‘Iron Mike’ struggling to show any of his past elite qualities due to now being 58-years-old.

Paul ran out a comfortable winner, with the judges scoring it 80-72, 79-73, 79-73 in his favour after eight two-minute rounds of action.

Having now shared the ring with the Youtuber-turned-boxer, Tyson has summed up his opponent’s boxing ability in just one word – talented.

Tyson shared his full reflection on the contest and its lead-up on his social media.

“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you”

Paul has now extended his professional boxing record to 11-1 following the victory over Tyson, with seven of his wins coming by knockout.

He also holds wins over a number of UFC fighters that made the transition from MMA, including Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz, along with established boxers like Ryan Bourland and Andre August. His one defeat came against Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Fans are now wondering who Paul may potentially look to take on next, and a world champion knockout artist in Artur Beterbiev has revealed that he would be willing to make a title defence against ‘The Problem Child.’
