Prince Naseem Hamed continues to enjoy boxing and has named the fighters he will always tune in for.

‘Naz’ was a sensational fighter himself, who often drew millions of eyes to his fights. The fun started before the first bell as the Sheffield-based fighter was renowned for his elaborate ring walks as much as his flair and showboating inside the ropes.

The Ingle Gym graduate won multiple featherweight world championships between 1995 and 2000, and reigned as lineal champion from 1998 to 2001 before he took his one and only loss to Marco Antonio Barrera. He retired the following year after one more victory.

Speaking to talk SPORTBoxing, Hamed laid out the three contemporary stars he keeps tabs on.

“I’ve always liked watching ‘Tank’, Gervonta Davis.

“He’s just retired, Terence Crawford. He’s an amazing fighter, especially beating Canelo in his last fight, then he’s called it a day, that’s the best thing he could have done, respect to him.

“There’s a fighter called ‘Boots’ Ennis, I like watching him, he’s a class fighter, he’s got some skills and he can deliver and I think he’s going to be hard to beat to be honest.”

Multi-weight champion Davis was due to fight Jake Paul back in November but domestic allegations put paid to that and he has not yet announced his next fight.

Ennis — the former IBF world champion who has beaten the likes of David Avanesyan — moved up to super welterweight back in October to knock out Uisma Lima in the first round, and has since been in negotiations with Vergil Ortiz Jr.

As for Crawford, the pound-for-pound superstar indeed appears to have fought his last fight, recently announcing his retirement with a record of 42-0 and world titles in five divisions.
