Oleksandr Usyk Reveals His First Choice For Next Fight After Spectacular Knockout Of Daniel Dubois

Oleksandr Usyk dismantled and knocked out Daniel Dubois in their rematch, becoming a two-time undisputed world champion, three-time overall after doing it down at cruiserweight, and an all-time great.

The Ukrainian once again visited Wembley Stadium to break the heart of a British puncher, facing Dubois for the second time after stopped him back in 2023 when they first fought.

His jab caused problems for a game Dubois, who struggled to find a home for his aggression. In the fifth, when Dubois looked to force the action, he was repaid with a knock down. After making it back to his feet but not quite steady, Usyk closed the show with an overhand left that sent the Brit straight back down.That time around he couldn’t make the count.

Post-fight, Usyk spoke in the ring and was asked what’s next.

“Nothing. It’s enough. Next, I don’t know. I want to rest. Derek [Chisora]? Derek’s here. I want to go back home with my family, my wife, my children. I want to rest now. Maybe, in two or three months… I want just a rest.

Asked who is next, Usyk reeled off some heavyweight names, beginning with a trilogy against Tyson Fury, hinting that he will not retire and stick to the plan of one more fight.

“Maybe it’s Tyson Fury. Maybe we have three options: Derek Chisora and Anthony Joshua. Maybe Joseph Parker. Listen, I cannot say now. I cannot say. I want to go back home.”

Whatever Usyk does next, the respect his peers and boxing fans have for him has only grown once again.
