Oleksandr Usyk has beaten every man he has faced in the professional ring in the 12 years since he turned over from the amateur game.

In the amateur ranks, he was just as successful, winning Olympic gold at London 2012.

Within six years as a pro, he had cleaned out the cruiserweight division to become the undisputed ruler with standout wins over the likes of Mairis Briedis and Tony Bellew, whilst also coming out on top in the World Boxing Super Series in which he claimed the inaugural Muhammad Ali Trophy.

After that, he began his quest at heavyweight with wins over Chazz Witherspoon and Derek Chisora before settling into back-to-back fights with unified champion Anthony Joshua. He won both of those fights on points to pick up and then defend three of the four major world titles before also beating Daniel Dubois and most then recently Tyson Fury to add the final belt to his undisputed collection.

Speaking to Mail Sport Boxing, he was asked how the Fury fight ranked in terms of the hardness he has ever had.

“First place. The first in rating for difficulty, tension, emotions, first place in everything.”

Usyk now returns to battle with ‘The Gypsy King’ in December in a rematch of their undisputed fight that will once again see the two best in the division battle it out for heavyweight supremacy.

The first contest was a close one that was largely decided by a standout ninth round in which Usyk managed to catch Fury with some big shots. ‘The Gypsy King’ has promised to be better second time as he looks to avenge his sole career defeat.
