Mike Tyson was known as ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet.’
His illustrious career began with 19 straight knockout victories, with 12 of them coming in the very first round.
Tyson continued to wreak havoc and display his ferocious power during some massive fights, stopping the likes of Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks and Frank Bruno whilst world champion.
After retiring in 2005, his record stood at 50 wins and 6 defeats, with an incredible 44 of those victories coming by knockout.
Despite striking fear into boxers throughout the world, Tyson has now revealed that there is one man that even he would avoid, telling ESNEWS that he wouldn’t want to take on David Benavidez.
“He’s so underrated but so over-polarised here. Listen, I’d be afraid to fight him too if I was in that division. No one even has a chance against him, and I’m talking facts.”
Benavidez is one of the biggest punchers currently in boxing, picking up stoppages victories over a number of former world champions, including Demetrius Andrade, David Lemieux, and Anthony Dirrell.
After becoming world champion at super-middleweight, Benavidez recently stepped up to 175lbs, defeating Oleksandr Gvozdyk to win the WBC interim light heavyweight title.
A fight against Canelo Alvarez remains the goal for Benavidez, although ‘The Mexican Monster’ recently revealed the one man besides Canelo that he would move back down to 168lbs to face.
