Oscar De La Hoya Makes Big Tyson Fury vs Usyk Rematch Prediction: “He’s Unbelievable”

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are to battle it out for heavyweight supremacy once more next month.

The pair of then-unbeaten combatants fought 12 close rounds with Usyk coming out on points to add the undisputed heavyweight crown to his undisputed cruiserweight honours and Olympic gold medal.

Fury has since suggested he was enjoying himself in the ring too much and that he will be better next time round whilst also denying there were any problems in his corner, which many people claimed was rather chaotic in between rounds.

Speaking to FightHubTV, former world champion turned Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya was asked if he thinks the fight will be different this time round.

“Yes I do, yes I do, just by knowing certain facts that Tyson was going through. It doesn’t mean Usyk is going to come with everything. He’s going to be better, faster, wiser, tougher. He’s going to know how to handle Tyson ’cause of the first fight and the confidence he has.”

De La Hoya then referenced the news that emerged that Fury’s wife suffered a miscarriage shortly before the first fight.

“I think Fury, his head is going to be there for once. We didn’t know what happened, the tragic news that took place, do you know what that does to a fighter? Let’s talk about the heart Tyson has to go in there. Anybody would have cancelled. Tyson goes in there and fights Usyk, unbelievable. So I really see this fight as a 50-50 fight, but I have to give Tyson the edge.”

However the fight goes, Usyk has vowed he still has more to give to the sport of boxing and will not retire any time soon.
