Manny Pacquiao Makes Bold Pick For The Greatest Fighter Of All Time

Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao has set incredible records in the sport of boxing.

The 46-year-old has had an exceptional professional career, winning world titles in no less than eight divisions since making his debut as a 16-year-old back in January of 1995.

He made a sensational comeback to the sport back in July when he fought to a majority decision draw against reigning WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, although it has been argued by some that ‘PacMan’ had done enough to be declared the winner.

Pacquiao is expected to make his return to the ring during the early stages of next year, with initial reports suggesting that WBA welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero would be his opponent, but a recent ordered mandatory could prevent that.

Ahead of his return, Pacquiao was asked in an interview with World Star to reveal the greatest fighter in boxing history, and gave a confident answer.

“I’m not trying to toot my horn, but it’s me, I can say it’s me. To get a belt in eight different weight divisions is not that easy, it’s very hard. The most difficult accomplishment in boxing.”

Whilst this will spark a heated debate amongst the boxing community, it would be unfair to say that Pacquiao does not belong in the discussion for being one of the greatest fighters to have ever laced up a pair of gloves.

The Filipino superstar will have his sights set on writing his name into the boxing history books once again should he again challenge for world honours, as he targets becoming the oldest world welterweight champion ever, a record that he actually set back in 2019 when he defeated Keith Thurman.
