In the eyes of many, Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters to have ever laced up a pair of gloves.
Since making his professional boxing debut as a 16-year-old back in January of 1995, Pacquiao has captured nine major world titles across an exceptional eight weight divisions.
Whilst he began his career at flyweight, ‘PacMan’ made his way through the weight classes and would go on to reign as the WBC super-welterweight champion when he defeated Antonio Margarito in November of 2010.
The 46-year-old has shared the ring with a number of legendary opponents along the way, including the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Marco Antonio Barrera, Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather to name just a few.
He made a sensational return to the ring back in July when he fought to a draw against reigning WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, although many viewers felt he had done enough to be declared the winner.
In a recent social media with IBA Boxing, Pacquiao made no mistake in singling out Mexican great Juan Manuel Marquez as the opponent that he faced with the best chin, hinting at the toughness of the four-weight world champion.
Pacquiao and Marquez shared the ring with each other on four occasions within an eight year period, producing one of the best rivalries in boxing history.
Their first bout, which took place back in May of 2004, was declared a split decision draw after a competitive 12-round bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
‘PacMan’ defeated Marquez in their second and third encounters, which occurred in March of 2008 and November of 2011 respectively, although Marquez would run out as victorious in their fourth and final bout.
The Mexican great sensationally knocked out Pacquiao in the sixth round of their non-title clash, putting an end to their rivalry in emphatic fashion after four memorable encounters between the legendary pair.
