Manny Pacquiao has been presented with another option as appose to a rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

It was revealed earlier this week that Pacquiao and Mayweather are currently in negotiations for a second meeting, over a decade on from when they collided for the first time.

That bout in May 2015 resulted in a unanimous decision victory for Mayweather, who would later go on to retire with a perfect 50-0 record, while Pacquiao made a return to the sport in July as he fought to a draw with WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

With Pacquiao set to return at the start of 2026, a rematch with Mayweather appears to be gaining some serious momentum, but now another former world champion has said he wants to make a comeback to take on the Filipino great.

Posting on social media, ex-unified super-lightweight titleholder Amir Khan has revealed that he is still targeting a clash against Pacquiao, and that he is the only man that would convince him to lace up the gloves once again.

“LETS GO @MannyPacquiao I’m up for one final dance but only with you as my partner. You’re still talking rematch with Floyd? Let’s make OUR fight that never happened. This is the ONLY one that gets me out of retirement – it’s what the fans always wanted.”

Khan hasn’t fought since February 2022 when he was beaten by long-term rival Kell Brook, but prior to that he did claim wins over fighters such as Zab Judah, Marcos Maidana, and Marco Antonio Barrera.

Despite the wishes of the Bolton boxer, it seems that a bout against Pacquiao would be unlikely, with the proposed rematch with Mayweather the intended target for now.
