Manny Pacquiao has got involved in the ongoing rivalry between fellow boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Roy Jones Jr.

Mayweather and Jones Jr have been embroiled in a bitter feud in recent times, with each man taking shots at the other over the past week or so.

Things then heated up over the weekend when Jones Jr challenged Mayweather to settle their differences in person, insisting he would be open to a fight, and not necessarily as an exhibition.

During their respective primes, both Mayweather and Jones Jr were at one stage the pound-for-pound number one fighter in the world, with Jones Jr first having his major success during the 1990s.

He became a four-weight world champion at middleweight, super-middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, and also reigned as undisputed at 175lbs from 1999 to 2002.

As for Mayweather, he was a five-weight world champion from super-featherweight to super-welterweight, and claimed wins over fellow greats such as Oscar De La Hoya, Canelo Alvarez and Pacquiao himself.

With all of that in mind, Pacquiao was asked by FightHype who he felt was the better out of the two in their prime, and was confident with his response.

“Roy.”

As for Pacquiao, he is just days away from making a sensational return to the sport at the age of 46 when he challenges Mario Barrios for his WBC welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao was last in action in August 2021, when he suffered a defeat to Yordenis Ugas in their WBA welterweight title clash.
