Manny Pacquiao Summed Up Mike Tyson’s Performance Against Jake Paul Perfectly In Just 4 Words

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul took over the boxing world last month.

The event was nearly one year in the making, having first been announced in March and originally set to take place in July, before Tyson was forced to postpone the contest.

It finally went ahead in November, becoming the first ever boxing event to be shown live on streaming service Netflix. They have revealed that there were 65 million ‘concurrent streams’ for the fight, while the gate generated over 18 million dollars.

Despite the commercial success, the bout failed to deliver inside the ring, with Tyson unable to perform like he did when he was once ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ during his active career.

Paul dominated the majority of the action before claiming a unanimous decision victory after the fight went the full eight two-minute rounds.

Figures from across the sport have been weighing in on the showdown, and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is the latest to comment.

Pacquiao was speaking to Boxing Social and, despite many criticising the main event, the eight-division champion praised Tyson for going the agreed distance but ultimately says ‘it was old age’ that let the heavyweight down.

“It’s up to him [if he fights again], he’s the one who can feel his body. It was old age for Mike Tyson, but he finished the eight rounds. Good for him.

At 58-years-old, Tyson has indicated he will now stay retired, but that didn’t stop his former rival Evander Holyfield choosing to call out his old foe for a trilogy showdown.
