Jake Paul has revealed that he is not done with his boxing career and now has firm plans to return to the ring.
Paul did a fine job of making inroads into the boxing world despite having no amateur experience and being best known as a YouTuber up until his debut back in 2020.
He won his first six fights, defeating ageing MMA stars such as Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, and Tyron Woodley.
The first time he came up against a proper boxer was Tommy Fury in 2023, and though he did well and had Fury down, he lost a split decision after eight rounds.
He managed to rebuild with wins over Mike Perry, Nate Diaz and an almost 60-year-old Mike Tyson and then stepped into the ring in December 2025 with former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Although he managed to run and hold on for five rounds, he was caught in the sixth with a hellacious right hand that broke his jaw, required surgery and left him eating through a straw. Apparently, that has not been enough to deter him from returning.
Speaking recently, Paul was asked when he will be stepping back onto the canvas once more.
“Very soon. We’re talking to a couple of opponents now, so hopefully end of year, early next year for me to get back into the ring.”
He isn’t stopping at attempting to conquer the boxing world, either, adding that he has his sights on a debut in mixed martial arts.
“Then I want to get into MMA in the next 12 months or so.”
Outside of the ring, Paul has done plenty of great things for women’s boxing through his MVP promotional outfit. He has also made plenty of enemies, with Carl Froch one man he has continually been linked to fighting, though it would take huge amounts of money to lure ‘The Cobra’ out of retirement.
