Jake Paul has predicted the outcome of the upcoming showdown between former UFC superstars Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva having shared the ring with both men.
Former UFC welterweight champion Woodley is set to lock horns with former UFC middleweight champion Silva in a six round light-heavyweight bout on the undercard of Paul’s controversial meeting with Anthony Joshua on December 19.
Paul defeated Woodley twice in the space of four months back in 2021, outpointing the retired MMA star in their first clash before stopping him in the sixth round of their rematch at the Amalie Arena in Tampa back in December 2021.
‘The Problem Child’ clashed with ‘Spider’ Silva at the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona back in October 2022, defeating the Brazilian via unanimous decision at the conclusion of their eight round cruiserweight clash which saw Silva hit the canvas in the final round.
In an interview with Bloody Elbow, Paul shared his thoughts on the upcoming clash between his former rivals, as he claims Woodley must ‘utilize his jab’ against Silva to be in with a good chance of winning.
“Man, it’s tough. I would say if Tyron can utilize his jab, which was the key for me against Anderson, then I could see Tyron doing it but if Tyron doesn’t use his jab a lot, then I think Anderson will win.”
Silva was originally pencilled in to face Chris Weidman for the third time last month, but the fight was scrapped after the American MMA great sustained an injury. Instead, ‘Spider’ is now preparing to lock horns with Woodley, who has been out of action since he was beaten by Paul back in 2021.
