Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn finally do battle this evening.

The two men meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, after a build-up that began way back in 2022 when the pair were initially set to fight, before a failed drugs test forced Benn out of the clash on fight week.

Nearly three years on the bout is now here, and some of boxing’s biggest names have offered their predictions on who they believe will come out on now.

One of them to do so is former world champion Shawn Porter, who previously spent time sparring Benn, and he once told Talksport how that session went.

“We did three rounds today but I’m not coming back, especially if I got to fight that young man. What a talent man, honestly, what a talent.

“Getting in the ring and only being able to do three rounds today, that’s not good enough for me, I embarrassed myself. He looked great, really good boxer, he’s more athletic and a little faster than I knew he was. Good boxer.”

He then explained to IFL TV how that spar with Benn helped him pick a winner in the clash against Eubank Jr.

“It was good work and I got to feel it. I wanted to see how he thinks and how he moves. He’s more athletic than I knew he was. He’s faster than I knew he was, a good boxer. I think Conor is going to try and apply the pressure and the aggression. That’s who he is.

“That works to his advantage against Chris Eubank Jr. Eubank has been around the block quite a few times. He’s made a nice comeback in his last 2 or 3 fights. Something I didn’t expect to see, but I think ultimately Benn is younger, stronger and has got a lot more energy in him. I think he’s going to win.”

Porter isn’t the only one to make their final prediction for the fight, with Carl Froch also making his final pick with just hours to go.
