Riddick Bowe Predicts Oleksandr Usyk vs ‘Prime’ Evander Holyfield: “No Comparison”

Former world heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe has predicted the outcome of a fantasy showdown between Oleksandr Usyk and Evander Holyfield.

Usyk is widely considered to be one of, if not the greatest heavyweight of his entire generation. The Ukrainian superstar remains the only fighter in modern boxing history to capture the undisputed heavyweight championship on two occasions with wins over Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois.

Holyfield also enjoyed a great deal of success during his own career where he became the first fighter in boxing history to hold the undisputed championship at both cruiserweight and heavyweight, a record that was matched by Usyk back in 2024.

Speaking to TruSchoolSports, Bowe didn’t hesitate to back former rival Holyfield to get the better of Usyk as he claims there is ‘no comparison’ between the legendary duo.

“There is no comparison. Evander Holyfield. See how small he is, if you matched him with either one of them [Usyk or Fury] what do you think would happen? You’d favour Holyfield, why, because they’re not rolling, the big men aren’t doing any of that.

“Holyfield, he’ll find you with something, probably the left hook and he’d knock you out with it. I was surprised with the left hook he knocked me down with.”

Holyfield’s decorated professional career also saw him become the only four-time world heavyweight champion in history, and he retired back in 2011 after he defeated Brian Nielsen in the 57th and final bout of his tenure, walking away from the sport with a record of 44-10-2.
