Dmitry Bivol versus Artur Beterbiev, the four-belt light-heavyweight clash, is fast approaching.
The two unbeaten fighters put it all on the line on October 12 when they battle it out for undisputed honours in Saudi Arabia.
Bivol’s recent run has seen him become only the second man to beat Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and pick up points wins over Gilberto Ramirez and Lyndon Arthur as well as stop Malik Zinad last time out.
Beterbiev is a real knockout artist who has stopped all 20 of his opponents including the likes of Callum Smith, Anthony Yarde and Joe Smith Jr, making this a classic battle between his concussive power and the smart footwork, ring IQ and slick defences of Bivol.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, acclaimed trainer Robert Garcia shared his excitement for the fight and found it hard to pick a winner but sided with the technical skills of Bivol.
“Can’t wait for that one man, that’s going to be a fight that’s hard to pick the winner. I lean towards Bivol by decision. I just think he’s got that style that he’s not going to allow Beterbiev to step in and get close, I don’t know. But also I wouldn’t be surprised if Beterbiev steps in and hurts him and knocks him out ’cause that guy has so much power he can knock anybody out but I lean to Bivol by decision.”
