Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero has finally spoken out after Anthony Joshua pulled off an emphatic stoppage win over Jake Paul.

Two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua stopped Paul in the 6th round of their controversial heavyweight clash at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday night.

‘The Problem Child’ was floored twice in the 5th round before the hard-hitting Brit closed the show with a thunderous straight right hand in the 6th giving referee Chris Young no choice but to call a halt to the action.

Prior to the controversial bout taking place, reigning WBA welterweight champion Romero shared his thoughts on the outcome of the fight where he backed his countryman to get the job done over ‘AJ’.

Speaking to Fight Hub, Romero spoke fondly of ‘The Problem Child’ as he claims the 28-year-old is not getting ‘enough credit’ for his performance against Joshua.

“Y’all can’t say Jake Paul don’t got heart bro … You can’t say Jake Paul don’t got heart … Dude, you guys ain’t giving him enough credit … Jake Paul landed some punches bro, some crazy punches, man. It’s not his weight class.”

It was revealed after the bout that Paul had sustained a double broken jaw which resulted in the 28-year-old from Phoenix undergoing surgery on Saturday morning.

It remains to be seen whether Paul will be in line to make a return to action at any stage in the near future but the Phoenix-native has expressed an interest in continuing with his career as he targets a world title shot at cruiserweight.
