Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has cemented himself as one of the biggest punchers in boxing after knocking out 28 of his 30 opponents.

The 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland has produced a number of showreel knockout victories throughout his professional career, defeating the likes of Leo Santa Cruz, Jose Pedraza and Yuriorkis Gamboa inside the scheduled distance.

Davis’ put on a sensational performance back in April 2023 against Ryan Garcia, flooring the 26-year-old twice before stopping him in the seventh round, handing ‘King Ry’ the first defeat of his professional career.

Both Davis and Garcia have declared they want a rematch in the future which could actually happen in 2025, despite both fighters currently preparing for separate bouts.

In a shock revelation on the Jack Alter YouTube channel, ‘King Ry’ was asked to rate the power of Davis, claiming the 30-year-old does not ‘hit hard’.

“He cannot hit hard I’m telling you. It’s his accuracy. The punches that you don’t see are the ones that hurt you. Not the ones that you do see. There are some people that even if you see it, that s—t hurts. He’s not like that. He’s what he is, he’s an accurate sniper. He’s a sniper.”

‘Tank’ is due to return to the ring on March 1 in a defence of his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach. As for Garcia, the 26-year-old is currently serving a 1-year suspension after testing positive for a banned substance ahead of his bout against Devin Haney last year.

Garcia is pencilled in to make his return to boxing against Rolando Romero in May. A rematch against Haney is reportedly expected to take place later this year, as long as Garcia can come through his bout against Romero which is expected to be contested for the WBA welterweight title.
