Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul is edging ever closer.

The two men meet in a controversial clash at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, broadcast live on Netflix.

The bout has caused a stir within boxing, with plenty of onlookers unhappy that it is going ahead due to the huge age gap between the men and the fact that Tyson hasn’t had a professional contest in nearly two decades.

His last pro outing was a losing effort to Kevin McBride in 2005, though he did have an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr in 2020 which ended in a draw.

Paul meanwhile has won all but one of his professional fights, picking up victories over a number of MMA fighters that have transitioned to boxing, including Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and most recently Mike Perry.

One boxer who has previously been linked with Paul is Ryan Garcia. The controversial star has shared his thoughts on the fight on X and seems to side with Tyson.

“If Jake Paul somehow beats Mike Tyson, I will finish him I put that on my momma.”

It isn’t the first time that Garcia has shown fondness for Tyson, as the Express reported what he told the former heavyweight champ when he visited him in his dressing room before his bout with Devin Haney.

“I love you, Mike. You look good. I’m going to your fight, I’ll be there. I’m with you in everything, remember that, always in spirit. I got you.”

Another man to have his say on the Tyson vs. Paul fight is Larry Holmes, and he didn’t hesitate to back his former opponent.
