The predictions have already started to roll in for the shock Gervonta Davis vs. Jake Paul fight.

Davis and Paul are reported to meet in an exhibition bout at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday 15 November, live on Netflix.

‘Tank’ had been set to take part in a rematch with Lamont Roach following their controversial first bout back in March, but he will reportedly instead next face YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who was last in action in June when he defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The fight is already attracting controversy, due to ‘Tank’ having not competed above 140lbs throughout his entire career, while Paul weighed 227lbs for his clash against boxing legend Mike Tyson last November.

One man who has previously fought Davis was Ryan Garcia, with ‘Tank’ claiming a seventh round stoppage win over ‘King Ry’ in April 2023.

Garcia has given his take on the upcoming surprise fight, posting on social media to initially claim he doubts it will happen.

“I strongly doubt this happens. No way Gervonta accepted 195 pounds. Gervonta is already small naturally and you really think he will decide to balloon up to 195 pounds. You got to be delusional to think this is going to happen.”

‘King Ry’ then shifted his approach by revealing he would expect Paul to come out on top if it does indeed go ahead.

“[By the way] if the fight does happen I’d bet on the heavyweight.”

It hasn’t taken Roach long to also react, as he has shared his thoughts after missing out on the rematch with Davis.
