Former undefeated WBO middleweight champ Billy Joe Saunders forced 41 year-old veteran Charles Adamu to retire on his stool at the end of round four on the Warrington/Frampton undercard at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Saturday.

Former undefeated WBO middleweight champ Billy Joe Saunders, 27-0-(13),forced 41 year-old veteran Charles Adamu, 32-14-(25), to retire on his stool at the end of round four on the Warrington/Frampton undercard at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Saturday.

Saunders was fighting for the first time since vacating his WBO crown after testing positive for oxilofrine, a banned substance.

On the same card Tyson Fury’s 19 year-old younger brother. Tommy Fury made a successful pro debut by out-pointing Jevgenijs Andrejevs, 10-103-3-(4), over four rounds.

Young heavyweight prospect Nathan Gorman, 15-0-(11), retained his WBC International Silver heavyweight title out-pointing former world title challenger Razvan Cojanu, 16-5-(9), over 12 one sided rounds.

The Manchester based Gorman was always in control as the 119-109, twice and 120-108 scorecard suggested.
