Shakur Stevenson defends his WBC Lightweight World Title against unlikely last-minute contender Josh Padley.
Stevenson – now champion in a third division – was all set to put his belt on the line against rising US star Floyd Schofield before the challenger pulled out mid-fight week due to illness.
Enter Padley, who upset the odds last time out against Mark Chamberlain and has kept himself in the gym waiting for an opportunity just like this. Although he has a chance for a fairytale story, the Brit is in with one of the very best operators in the world, thus a massive underdog.
