Shakur Stevenson has options moving forward and is as confident as ever.
The 27-year-old three-weight champion currently holds the WBC Lightweight World Title after Devin Haney[/tag[ relinquished it and he beat Edwin De Los Santos for the vacant belt.
With one defence logged against Artem Harutyunyan, Stevenson has come to end of his promotional deal with Top Rank and is currently shopping around for the best offer. With fellow champions [tag]Gervonta Davis and Vasiliy Lomachenko – the two men he wants to face most – currently in talks for a unification of their own, his next opponent is up in the air too.
Another man Stevenson is now open to facing is former unified champion George Kambosos Jr, who missed out on the vacant IBF belt when he lost to Lomachenko.
Kambosos took to social media to respond to Stevenson saying Harutyunyan was a better fighter, joining in with many in the boxing world to criticise the champion’s latest performance for not being entertaining.
An extended back-and-forth followed, but the notable points were Kambosos saying he would bet $5 million on the outcome and Stevenson saying that he would retire if he couldn’t score a stoppage.
“This [guy] don’t even got no faith in himself … Me vs You. That s**t will be a massacre. I’ll retire boxing [from] if I don’t stop you.”

Stevenson last won by stoppage in his first fight at 135lbs, beating Shuichiro Yoshino in the sixth round. From 22 wins, he has just 10 early finishes.
Kambosos has won one fight in his last four, that came controversially against Maxi Hughes and is framed by two losses to Devin Haney and the Lomachenko defeat. He is currently ranked 15th with the WBC.
