Shane Fury has spoken from the heart about whether or not he thinks his brother Tyson’s boxing return is wise.
Tyson Fury is a mercurial character who has been in and out of the sport for the last 15 or so years. For the last 12 months, he has been taking an extended break after two back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
However, right now, he is back in camp and talking up a big return against a number of men, with fans hoping he will one day share the ring with Anthony Joshua in what would be an epic all-British showdown between two greats of their generation.
Speaking to Boxing King Media, Shane Fury spoke from the heart about his brother being back in business.
“Listen you look at Tyson, you wouldn’t think he would be able to fight at all would you, the shape of him. He’s got two love handles, skinny legs, bit of a belly and not the biggest top half. But he’s fit. You don’t meet many people thats stronger than him in the body.”
“He’s talented and he’s got a heart the size of this place we’re in. It is what it is. Is Tyson’s best days behind him? I don’t know. We had a conversation beforehand. There was no signs of him declining in the last fight against the great fighter Usyk.”
Eddie Hearn is one man who thinks Fury is still in his prime and says his return is only a good thing for boxing. He is expected to take a warm-up in the spring before bigger contests later in the year.
