The boxing world is still clamouring to see Anthony Joshua take on Tyson Fury in an all-British heavyweight showdown.

This is despite the fact that both boxers have taken losses after the potential of an undefeated showdown years ago. It was the same man who put the spanner in the works – Oleksandr Usyk twice beat Joshua in 2021 and 2022 and then went on to beat Fury this May to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Fury and Usyk will go at it again in December as he looks to avenge his only career loss, while Joshua is aiming to become a three-time world champion by snatching the IBF belt off young talent Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in London.

Should both men come through those tough fights, then all roads would lead to an epic undisputed contest, hopefully sometime in the new year.

Hall of Famer and former world champion Shane Mosley spoke on his own Sugar Shane Show about how he saw that particular fight going and he sided with ‘AJ.’

“I would say Usyk and Joshua is the top fighters right now. I like Joshua the way he is fighting, he’s fighting a lot better, and I would like to see them two fight again but it seems that they’re trying to go towards Joshua and Tyson Fury fighting. That would be a good match-up in the UK for both guys. I would lean towards Joshua in that fight if they were to fight. I think Joshua is right up there with Usyk.”

As much as Joshua would love the Fury fight, he has also recently stated his desire to have a third crack at Usyk to try and banish the demons of the first two losses.
