Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to do battle once more before the end of the year.
These two heavyweight talents first came together back in May for a historic undisputed contest – the first in almost 25 years.
Both men were undefeated going into the contest with Fury a two-time world champion and Usyk the undisputed cruiserweight turned unified heavyweight ruler.
Speaking to AB BOXing, former heavyweight world Shannon Briggs agreed with the result of the first fight and then spoke about the rematch and sided with Usyk, who he suggested is the more dedicated professional.
“Yeh very close but nah I gave it to Uysk. He did his thing.
I think it’s going to be a great second fight. I’m leaning towards Usyk man, he don’t drink, he don’t party, he don’t do nothing but train.
I think after his last fight I think Fury got hammered, went back to the bottle a bit, but it’s gunna be a great fight, but you never can count Fury out cause you never know how he gunna fight this fight. He might fight southpaw, he might apply pressure like he did in the second and third fight with [Deontay] Wilder, you never know.”
Fury has admitted since the first fight that he was having too much fun in the ring and has promised to go for the stoppage in the rematch, much like he did when he fought Wilder for the second and third time after drawing in the first meeting.
