Jarrell Miller and Derek Chisora are two heavyweight boxers at very different stages of their careers.
Chisora has been a great servant of boxing and has grown to become a hugely popular fighter with British fans. His ‘War’ mantra always reflects how he conducts himself in the ring, rarely taking a backward step and instead always marching forward and throwing big shots.
It’s an approach that has had mixed results with plenty of wins against the likes of Gerald Washington and Kubrat Pullev but also losses to fighters such as Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker twice, Oleksandr Usyk and Dillian Whyte twice.
He hasn’t fought since an upset victory over Joe Joyce in July and is now waiting to announce his next opponent.
Miller is expected to be that man. The American is a controversial figure who failed drug tests before a high-profile fight against Anthony Joshua, and last time out in August drew against Andy Ruiz Jr, with many feeling ‘Big Baby’ did enough to get his hand raised.
That fight with Ruiz came after Miller suffered his first career defeat when he was stopped by current IBF champion Daniel Dubois in the final few seconds of the 10th and final round in December of last year.
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs was asked about the fight between the two big men.
“It’s a good fight, great fight. Jarrell should knock him out. If he don’t, we are going to be wondering why, but it’ll be a great fight, good scrap, let’s see who backs up.”
The two are tipped to faced off in early 2025 although nothing has been confirmed by either party.
