Shannon Briggs Sums Up Mike Tyson’s Disappointing Performance Against Jake Paul In Just 2 Words

Big names from the boxing world continue to react to Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul.

The much-talked about showdown took place last week, but failed to live up to the pre-fight claims from some that the Tyson of old would be present in the bout.

Instead, ‘Iron Mike’ unfortunately struggled in the fight and it was a sad sight for many fans at times, as the 58-year-old found it tough and was easily outclassed by his much younger opponent.

After eight two-minutes round, Paul was a comfortable winner, with the judges scoring it 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73, as Tyson suffered a defeat in his first professional fight since 2005.

One man that had strong opinions leading into the contest was former world heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, who in the build-up felt that Tyson would win. Not only that, he said the knockout for his fellow Brooklyn native would be ‘easy work.’

Now that the fight has taken place, Briggs was surprised by what he saw, and needed just two words to react to Tyson’s performance against Paul.

“What happened?”

He then explained what shocked him the most about the showing from ‘Iron Mike.’

“I would have liked to have seen Mike throw more punches. I wonder why he wasn’t.

“He should have went crazy and got busy and took it to him.”

Due to how the contest played out, some fans have speculated about whether or not there may have been a pre-fight arrangement, but Briggs has hit back at any claims that the bout could have potentially been ‘scripted’.
