Shawn Porter Predicts ‘Domination’ In Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk Rematch: “He’s Relentless”

The Oleksandr Usyk versus Tyson Fury rematch has once again got the whole boxing world talking.

This generational fight between two pound-for-pound contenders has been of great intrigue to fans worldwide.

After a delay due to a cut sustained in sparring by Fury, the initial fight happened in May and was an engaging and entertaining battle full of great boxing skill, ring IQ and athleticism from both men.

It was the fleet-footed Ukrainian southpaw who came out on top at the end of the 12 rounds having imposed himself slightly more on Fury after surviving some heavy shots in the middle rounds.

‘The Gypsy King’ later claimed he took his eye off the ball and was coasting, which is why he got caught with a big shot in the ninth in a moment that went a long way to deciding the result on the scorecard.

On December 21, both men go at it again, though this time for only three of the four major world titles after Usyk vacated the IBF belt.

Speaking on Pro Box TV, former world champion Shawn Porter is backing Fury to reverse the result this time around and become a unified champion.

“I expect him to win this rematch. He’s bigger than Usyk, and that size advantage that he has, he, unlike most fighters, knows how to use that size, that reach, that speed, I think the whole fight will play out how the first half of the first fight played out. A very focused and determined Fury is a quiet and relentless Fury.”

He then praised the various skills the Brit boasts and believes that it will show on the night.

“Fury has so many things in his arsenal that makes him the dominator in this fight, he has to dominate this fight and he can’t afford to let himself get caught off guard.”

Given how his trilogy with Deontay Wilder transpired, Fury has indeed proven he can dominate rematches
