Former multi weight world champion Humberto Soto, 66-9-2-(36), returned to action for the first time since last September to defeat Daniel Ruiz, 34-10-2-(24), at the Gimnasio Cuauhtémoc de la Delegación Miguel Hidalgo in Mexico City on Saturday.
The end came after a wrist injury forced Ruiz to bail out in round two. The 36 year-old Soto had not fought since losing to Antonio Orozco last September.
