Errol Spence Jr Delivers His 4 Word Prediction For Canelo vs Terence Crawford Fight

Terence Crawford defeated Errol Spence to become undisputed welterweight champion.

The two men met in July 2023, with Crawford dominating the action and stopping Spence in the ninth round to add the IBF, WBA and WBC titles to his WBO strap and become the sole ruler of a single division for the second time after also achieving that feat at 140lbs.

‘Bud’ may now get the opportunity to become a three-time undisputed champion when he is set to step up to super-middleweight to take on Canelo Alvarez in September.

Canelo is the reigning WBC, WBA and WBO champion at 168lbs, but could become undisputed when he first meets IBF title-holder William Scull in May.

Many boxing fans believe it could be a tall order for Crawford in the fight against Canelo, but Spence seemingly disagrees after making his four word prediction to Fight Hub TV.

“I’m going for Bud.”

Spence then explained why he is backing his former foe.

“If Crawford wants to challenge himself to be great then let him try to be great you know, so I’m with it.

I’ll be going for him. I don’t know if he’s going to win or lose but I’ll definitely be going for Crawford. I think if anybody can pull it off he can pull it off.

He’s chasing greatness so why not. Canelo went up to 175 and fought Kovalev and fought the other guy [Bivol] too, so if he can do it, and he started at 147, so if he doing then why can’t ‘Bud’ do it.”

While Spence is predicting that ‘Bud’ can pull it off, it seems that Vergil Ortiz disagrees, after claiming that Canelo will be far too big.
