To be fair to Sky pundit, Spencer Fearon, he was not alone in doubting erratic Liverpool heavyweight David Price ahead of his supposed 50-50 showdown with Dave Allen at the O2 on Saturday night.
As it transpired, Price proved dominant and exposed the difference in levels that existed between himself and popular Allen, forcing a 10-round retirement which not only displayed his quality but also a rarely-seen ability to remain strong and disciplined late into a long-distance contest.
All this prompted Fearon to send a message to Price.
