Teddy Atlas has made a big prediction for this weekend’s Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni showdown.
Unbeaten heavyweights collide when Wardley takes on Huni in the Brit’s hometown at Ipswich Town’s Portman Road Stadium.
Wardley was initially set to take on Amerixan Jarrell Miller on the card, but ‘Big Baby’ was forced to withdraw from the contest, resulting in Huni stepping in on short notice.
It’s been a breakthrough 12 months for Wardley, having first been involved in a fight of the year contender against Frazer Clarke which ended in a draw, before then knocking out Clarke in emphatic style in the very first round of their rematch back in October.
Huni has a record of 12-0, with seven of his victories coming by knockout, but Wardley is set to be the toughest test of the Australian’s career so far.
Respected analyst Atlas has shared his thoughts on the heavyweight battle, posting on social media that he has placed a $1,500 bet on Huni to be victorious.
“I see in Justis Huni what i initially saw in Agit Kabayel. It’s gambling so be responsible if betting.”
It would be a fairly big upset if Huni was able to pull off the win on Saturday night, with Wardley a considerable favourite with the oddsmakers.
Kabayel himself has become one of the major players at heavyweight after wins over the likes of Zhilei Zhang, Frank Sanchez and Arslanbek Makhmudov, and Huni will hope that a win this weekend could see him follow in those footsteps.
