Teddy Atlas Reveals His Exact Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano Scorecard After Rewatching Fight

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano once again put on an epic battle in their rematch in Texas two weeks ago.

The two fighters are arguably the most legendary female boxers of all time, although Claressa Shields may have something to say about that. Between them, they have accomplished just about everything possible in the sport. Their first fight at Madison Square Garden was a real war which saw Taylor defend her undisputed lightweight titles via a 10-round split decision.

The second fight saw Taylor get wobbled early and Serrano get badly cut but ultimately the Irish star won the fight with a score of 95-94 on all three cards,

Speaking on The Fight, former trainer turned analyst Teddy Atlas reflected on the first match between the two.

“Taylor wins, I thought she deserved it, really tight, first time ever that women fought in Madison Square Garden as the main event, a historic night.”

He then turned his attention to the rematch at the AT&T Stadium on the undercard of Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul and after rewatching the contest he had Taylor winning by one point.

“Now they do it again. They’re both getting older and have been in tough fights, especially Taylor lately. That first fight they both left something in the ring. It was going to come down to who had more left.

“You saw heart, two warriors, close fight, could have been a draw. I don’t have a problem, I went back and scored it. I had Katie Taylor, I’m gunna give you the score, I had her 96-95. It came down to power versus speed, Aggression versus boxing. They fought a firefight.”

Given the closeness of both fights and how entertaining they were, the door is open to a third fight between these two great boxers.
