Terence Crawford Finally Announces Who He Wants To Fight Next: “I’ve Got My Eyes On You”

Terence Crawford is still riding high off the back of a historic victory over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in September.

The switch-hitter from Omaha, Nebraska moved to 42-0 in his professional campaign when he jumped up to super-middleweight to dethrone Mexican icon Alvarez, winning a unanimous decision to become undisputed in a third division.

At 38-years-old, many felt Crawford would bow out at the very top of his game, however the man himself has hinted that he will fight on and his team support this decision.

Whilst a Canelo rematch may have been a top option, Crawford recently shared an insight into his plans when attending the WBO convention, appearing in a video with boxing manager Egis Klimas and announcing that he is considering a fight with his charge, Janibek Alimkhanuly.

“I got my eyes on you, Janibek. Good luck.”

The Khazak puncher is also undefeated and currently holds the WBO and IBF Middleweight World Titles. It was confirmed this week that he will look to add a third belt to his collection when he faces WBA champ Erislandy Lara on December 6.

Having held straps at lightweight, super-lightweight, welterweight, super-welterweight and now super-middleweight, the middleweight gap in between clearly intrigues ‘Bud.’ If he can made the fight for three of the four major belts, it becomes all the more appealing.

Though the pound for pound star has some time to choose his next opponent, he will soon be expected to make a decision on his titles at 168lbs, either making a defence or vacating to allow the top contenders, potentially including Canelo depending on his plans, to compete for them.
