Terence Crawford Reveals Plans For Another Mega Fight After Canelo: “That Would Be Crazy”

Terence Crawford is gearing up for the fight of his life against Canelo Alvarez later this year.

The 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska has proved himself time and time again as being one of the greatest fighters on the planet, having already captured world titles in four weight classes as well as the undisputed championship in the super lightweight and welterweight divisions respectively.

‘Bud’ has now turned his attention to what has been described by the majority of the boxing world as a mega-fight against the Mexican icon, which is expected to happen at an unconfirmed venue in Las Vegas this September.

However, the American superstar looks to have his long-term future mapped out as he is reportedly already eyeing up his next move after he has locked horns with Canelo.

In an interview with Manouk Akopyan, Crawford revealed his interest in potentially dropping back down to light middleweight and facing either Sebastian Fundora or Bakhram Murtazaliev in a bid to become a four-weight undisputed champion.

“They’re my options, they’re my options, you know to become a four-weight undisputed [champion] that’s crazy you know, so of course they’re my options as well, we just gotta weigh it out and just see what happens after this fight.”

‘Bud’ made his debut at 154lbs last year when he outpointed the previously unbeaten Israil Madrimov to become the WBA champion, albeit in an underwhelming performance. Before it was revealed that he would be facing Canelo next, the 37-year-old had been linked with a bout against Sebastian Fundora, who currently holds the WBC and WBO light middleweight titles.
