Terence Crawford has had his say on the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul showdown.

Tyson faces Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Friday 15 November, and it will be broadcast live on streaming service Netflix.

Many boxing figures have weighed in on the controversial match-up, and pound-for-pound king Crawford has revealed his stance.

It began when Crawford was asked by Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour if he wants to see the fight.

“No. I don’t.”

He then explained why he isn’t looking forward to the bout going ahead.

“I think Mike Tyson is an icon in boxing. He’s done a lot for boxing in his own right. And I just think Mike is past his prime.

“Mike is old. I wouldn’t want to see Mike go in the ring and get hurt in a fight where he just doing it for the money or entertainment. I just think him having his health problems is another added reason why I don’t want to see him in the ring anymore.”

Crawford’s view could well be proven right, especially after the fight was pushed back from its original July date due to Tyson suffering an ulcer flare up after a medical incident on a flight.

‘Iron Mike’ has done his best to prove the doubters wrong though, with recent training footage showing him dropping one sparring partner and busting the lip of his coach.

Another man that has offered their latest thoughts on the Tyson vs Paul fight is Oscar De La Hoya, and he has given a defiant prediction.
