Pound-for-pound superstar Terence Crawford has shared his thoughts on former rival Errol Spence Jr.

Crawford handed Spence the first defeat of his professional career when they locked horns for the undisputed welterweight championship back in July 2023, stopping his countryman in the ninth round of their bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Spence is yet to make a return to the ring following this defeat as fans and analysts begin to question whether the former unified welterweight champion has quietly retired.

In his best days, before a serious car accident, Spence beat the likes of Kell Brook, Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia and Mikey Garcia.

In a feature with The Ring Magazine, Crawford was asked to rate his former rival out of ten as a fighter and was full of praise.

“Errol Spence, I’ll give him a 10. Undefeated … unified world champion, running through all the welterweights that was put in front of him, you know. Beaten a few champions at that, so I’ll give him a 10.”

Whilst an official announcement on Spence’s future is yet to be made, the 35-year-old from Long Island, New York must make a decision on his next chapter soon.

Should he return, ‘The Truth’ would likely debut at super-welterweight, with plenty of fighters in that division calling him out in the past, including Sebastian Fundora and Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Ortiz made was last out against Israil Madrimov earlier this year, defeating the Uzbek star via unanimous decision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 22. Fundora recently retained his WBC title with a stoppage win over Tim Tszyu in Las Vegas.
