Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez are gearing up for their monumental showdown.

The pound-for-pound stars are set to do battle on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Canelo will put his undisputed super-middleweight championship on the line against the 37-year-old from Omaha, who will be making his first appearance at 168lbs when he faces the Mexican icon.

Canelo began his second reign as undisputed champion at 168lbs on May 3 when he defeated former IBF super-middleweight champion William Scull in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

‘Bud’ Crawford has spent the most recent years of his professional career campaigning at welterweight, although he did make the move up to super-welterweight last August to dethrone WBA champion Israil Madrimov.

Speaking on his own Youtube channel, two-weight world champion Tim Bradley made no mistake in backing ‘Bud’ Crawford to get the job done against the Mexican great, in what will unquestionably be the toughest test of his career.

“I woke up at 3am, someone told me to study Canelo, study Crawford. Crawford about to beat the s**t out of Canelo Alvarez, I’m letting y’all know right now, he about to beat the brakes off of Canelo Alvarez, yes he is.”

Should Crawford be victorious over Canelo in September, the unbeaten American would write his name into boxing history by becoming the first male fighter in the sport’s history to win an undisputed championship in three divisions, having already achieved this feat at super-lightweight and welterweight.
