Jake Paul is just hours away from his long-awaited return to the ring.

The Youtuber-turned-boxer locks horns with Mexico’s former WBC world middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on Saturday June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Paul has not fought since he defeated the now retired heavyweight legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson at the conclusion of their controversial showdown at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington on November 15.

One man who has offered an insight into Paul’s upcoming return to the sport is two-weight world champion Timothy Bradley, who went on to become an analyst after drawing the curtain on his career back in 2016.

In an interview with ESPN Boxing, Bradley admitted that whilst he believes Chavez has what it takes to defeat Paul, he doesn’t think this will actually be the case on fight night as he expects ‘The Problem Child’ to prevail.

“I see this as a matchup of two fighters on different boxing journeys: one born into the sport and taking it for granted, the other finding a niche in the sport by playing his cards right while grinding under the spotlight.

I believe it will be the difference in experience, Chavez’s natural feel for the ring against Paul’s ruthless, undeniable drive to prove himself could be the subtle decider of who wins. So, can Chavez beat Paul? Absolutely. But I don’t think he will.”

Despite holding the world middleweight championship during the early stages of his career and being the son of a boxing legend, Chavez is known to have been the victim of his own success and has been the subject of criticism over the years.

As for Paul, the 28-year-old from Cleveland could move one step closer to achieving his dream of becoming a world champion, but is expected to defeat his Mexican rival in impressive fashion.
